Hey, I’m Jake

a full-time creative, and a proud U.S. Army journalist who somehow swapped explosions for exposure settings.

For over six years, I’ve been behind the lens in uniform — filming combat engineers blowing doors off hinges one week, and documenting humanitarian missions in Vietnam the next. It’s been wild, rewarding, and gave me a crash course in storytelling under pressure.

Now I’m taking all that experience into the civilian world — turns out, kicking in doors doesn’t directly translate to taking senior photos… but the ability to capture the moment before chaos absolutely does.

When I’m not editing or shooting, you’ll probably find me rolling on the mats at Jiu-Jitsu, carving down a mountain on my snowboard, or hanging out with my ridiculously cute husky, Terra (she’s the real star of the show).

At the end of the day, I love making people laugh, feel comfortable, and look like the best version of themselves — whether that's a soldier, a senior, or someone chasing their next big chapter.
